Update your Feed please

Ok, I’ve now got the Mint BirdFeeder pepper working. After todays little hiccough with Feedburner reporting zero subscribers, I decided it was time to utilise Mint’s functionality for this. I’ve upgraded to WordPress 2.1.1 so that it will work. If you could not all change your feed readers so they point at http://phil.elecricweekend.com/feed that would be great! The Feedburner feed will remain active probably for another month, but I will take it down after that.

If you are experiencing any errors, please let me know.

  1. That’s funny. I just checked my feedburner stats about 30 seconds ago and they’re at zero too.

I’m on WP 2.1.1 and just did the bird seeder on mint and it wasn’t working right. In fact I’m having a lot of problems with my Mint peppers. I’ll install one and then another one dissapears. I need to spend some time on their forum.

  3. Thats odd, must be something wrong down at Feedburner. I’ve had troubles with BirdFeeder before but it’s all working now. I do need to update my Mint install and some of the Peppers though, they get updated so quickly, its hard to keep up!

  5. Yeah, I know the feeling. Kind of makes me feel like the devlopers can’t win. We get annoyed when stuff isn’t developed and updated, but then when stuff is updated so often it gets irritating! ha! Here’s to active development though! 😀

  7. Phil- does the birdfeeder not work with feedburner? I’ve never had it working properly and after seeing this article I wonder if I should consider switching away from feedburner?

  9. As I understand it, if you use Birdfeeder in conjunction with Feedburner you would only record one hit. I think due to the fact that feedburner distributes the feed so it is the only thing that retrieves it from your site.

I’ve had it working all day and it seems to be working well. It’s nice to see when people get your feed and watchi it grow across the day. I’m also told the first day is inflated, for what ever reason, but I’m enjoying the bloated count for the day, it stands at 55 atm!
