Quote of The Day: Mark Lawrenson

I don’t normally do this, but I just heard a genius quote from Mark Lawrenson as he commentates on the FA Cup game between Reading and Man Utd. Commenting on the idea that Reading and Oxford (2 rivals) were in talks to merge several years ago he said:

It would be like putting King Herod in charge of Mother Care!

Just made me chuckle and thought I would share it with you all!

  1. Haha, typical of Lawro to come out with something like that!
You know, I often find Lawrenson very negative; he never seems to have a positive view on anything! He voice doesn’t help either; it always has such a negative tone!!

P.S. I don’t know about anyone else but you feed, for me, is failing to load on Firefox… I have tried unsubscribing and re-subscribing but it is still failing to load.

  3. Hmmm, interesting thanks fro letting me know Aidan, I’ll have to take a look at it, not that I know where to start. Are you using a WordPress supplied feed or one straight from FeedBurner?

As far as Lawro is concerned, I actually quite like him as a commentator. He can be quite amusing sometimes, but I do know what you mean about the negativity.

  5. Yeah Lawro is a good commentator I would have to agree there.

I am using the feedburner feed. I haven’t tried the normal WordPress feed. I will test it now and tell you the results.

I have now tried the WordPress feed and it is still failing 🙁 .

I don’t really know what to suggest as I wouldn’t know where to start either…
