I have just decided that when I start my two week placements on Monday I will start a series of posts to document it on-line. I have to do a document of it for my course anyway so I figured I would add it in. Expect to see a lot of content on the next few days. It will depend on how I am feeling on it all but I may get a bit creative with it as well.
Ok, so I’m bored. I resorted to googling my name, Phil Bowell, and guess what?? This website is the first and second links to come up!! Woo!!!!
I have a project I am doing. It would be great if you guys could help me with it. If you could take a few minutes to answer these questions as best you can it would be great.
Who, what or where gives you hope??
Was there any point in time when you had more hope than you have today?? Why?? or do you hope more now than ever before??
Is there a photograph that represents hope to you?? a song?? a phrase?? a speech??
Is there a book, a film or even a t-shirt that sums it up the best??
Is there a particular season that fills you with hope more than any other??
Is there one person on planet Earth that gives you hope above all others, is it your mum?? your dad?? your children?? or someone you have never met??
Could it be a single graphic image, a cheap doodle, piece of graffiti on a wall??
If you have taken the time to answer these thank you very much. If you have taken the time to attach images etc then thank you again. This is for a uni project so I will keep you all posted on the project, please keep checking back for progress.
EDIT: I would really appreciate some answers from some non-christians. I realise that all the ones so far are from christians, so it would be really great to here from non believers. If you are not a believer please don’t feel you have nothing to contribute, you do and your answers are just as valid and important as those who do believe.
I seem to have the shortest concentration span in the world at the moment. I don’t seem to be able to concentrate on anything for more than 5 minutes. It stupid!! I feel creative, I feel like drawing/designing something but I just can’t seem to settle on anything. I mean I have work to do and I want to do it, but I just can’t concentrate on it. I do one little idea and then I just get stuck and go off and do something else. Now normally if this happens I go and do some other work I have. Be it my other Uni project or my own personal project. Except today I don’t even seem to be able to do those. I just get bored, or sit staring at my computer screen. So I’m at a loss of what to do right now. I want to get on with my work, but I can’t concentrate on it and I don’t really know what to do. Same with my other project. Same with the desing for my blog. I kinda have an idea but I can’t seem to translate it onto anything other than my mind. Argh!!!
I guess its official I have a “creative block”. Meh.
I’ve just discovered some of my friends have got blogs!! Well actually one of them. She goes by the names of Names!!
I alos at somepoint have to work out how to up-grade my wordpress installation as there is a new version out with some securtiy fixes in it.

I came across this film trailer last night. It looks really cool. What it is is a mixture of live action film which is given a special treatment to make it appear animated. It looks really cool. I had to point it out as I really liked the poster and the whole thing is generally good graphics. Take a look. I’m really looking forward to it coming out.
On another note, I’m hoping to get some work done today. I had some inspiration last night for the new CU hoodie which is currently being designed. This is good. It means I am once again feeling creative. So I’m hoping to crack on with my YCN brief today, or at least get some brainstorming done for it.
I’m also thinking of going to the Forest match at the weekend. It’s in Bristol, which is only an hour or so away, and since we won 7–1 last Saturday i’m feeling much more optimistic about football again. Amazing what a good game can do for you, especially when it was against the team your housemate supports!! hehe!! Sorry Steve!!
Also we have new Mac Mini’s released by Apple, this is all good. Sadly the price has gone up on them, but they still look really good value for money. Anyways I am off now, Neighbours and lunch time.
