I’ve final­ly had the chance to go through and edit some of my pho­tos from a fam­i­ly hol­i­day back in Sep­tem­ber. It was the first hol­i­day I’ve hand in a few years so I thought I’d share some of them here.
It was also a good excuse to try out the new iPad ver­sion of Dark­room. It worked pret­ty well, although there were a few bugs I hit when edit­ing a num­ber of pho­tos in quick succession.

Burgh Island, Bigbury

I had the plea­sure of going away this week­end for s sur­prise 30th birth­day par­ty. My friend Sam did­n’t know that a num­ber of us were trav­el­ling down to Ivy­bridge for the week­end to sur­prise him, it was a great time to catch up with sev­er­al friends I had­n’t seen for a while.
Part of Sat­ur­day was spent tak­ing the many dogs for a walk at Big­bury and to take in Burgh Island in the process. The island become com­plete­ly cut off at high tide, but when the tide goes out a beach con­nects it to the main­line. While the four dogs were tak­ing var­i­ous mem­bers of our par­ty for a walk, I pulled my iPhone out my pock­et and took a few snaps. I kind of wish I had my prop­er cam­era with me, but I’m still pret­ty please with how they turned out. Despite all the weath­er and low cloud, the place felt real­ly calm and peace­ful, hope­ful­ly my pho­tos have caught some of that.

Israel 2014

Way back in Sep­tem­ber I had the plea­sure of vis­it­ing Israel for the sec­ond time in my life. It’s place I have a real pas­sion for, so rich in his­to­ry, so beau­ti­ful in scenery and of course because of my faith as a Chris­t­ian. This being my sec­ond trip to Israel I did­n’t take quite as many pho­tos as I did the first time around, but I have final­ly had chance to go through a num­ber of the ones I did take and want­ed to take this oppor­tu­ni­ty to share them with you.
