I'm a Christian, a designer, and a gadget fan who lives in Cheltenham, UK.

This is my blog, a creative outlet to mess around and play with as well as a place that logs my thoughts and inspirations.

As previously mentioned I am testing Tumblr out and to be honest I’m quite liking it. I’m trying something out whereby I will be using Tumblr as my links/images list and Electric Weekend as the main articles place, in a similar vein to Cameron I/O and Ordered List. Before I make the jump completely I wanted to some feedback on the idea. So you can find the tumble log at tumble.electricweekend.com and the feed for it here. Let me know how you find it and in the mean time I will keep working on the idea of integrating it with EW.

  1. I really like the design of the new Tumblr site Phil. I am actually contemplating doing the same, rather than using WordPress to keep up with both my asides or shorts and my lengthier posts. I think it is a good idea for you to do and I think it is becoming popular across the web because it is a good solution.

  3. A few random ideas that come to my mind at this moment:
    1. Incorporate you tumble blog within the site, similar to Greg Storey’s Longboard.
    2. The problem with two blogs is that subscribers have to subscribe to two feeds.
    3. Two feeds isn’t necesarily a bad thing, just something to think about.
    4. If you were to incorporate both blogs in one, can you identify the articles more clearly?
    5. Will the tumble blog be worth your time, and help the articles to be better?
That’s all for now. Have a good one, Phil.

  5. Thanks guys, valuable words from both of you. And some good points Shawn, ones which need debating out fully. I’m really having issues with how to set my blog up at the moment. I want more considered thoughts, which I think are beginning to come now, but I want a links/images style place to dump things as well. Let the problem solving begin.
